Testimonials
Dr. Harding envisioned the I AM PROJECT as she cared for and fought for her dying mother in a nursing home. She realized that the staff knew very little about who her Mom was, what she had accomplished in her life, and what she loved. She envisioned creating a way to honor people that may not be able to tell their story and knew that if she did, it would make a difference in the quality of care that they receive and even the outcomes achieved. This is the most incredible project that I have ever witnessed. Every single patient in the hospital, a rehabilitation center, or the nursing home should have access to this and I strongly support and recommend it become so.

The I Am Project, an idea grounded in love and based on the developer's (Susan!) personal experience, is a win-win tool for any organization/employee/caregiver involved in direct care of others. What better way is there to provide connection and understanding of the human in front of us needing care?
Based on my work with patients in a healthcare environment, and my experience with my mother's dementia, this simple, yet beautiful, tool provides a way for humans to connect with each other in a powerful, meaningful and loving manner. If faced with having a loved one in an institutionalized healthcare setting, I can think of no reason why I wouldn't want this information posted in an easy-to-read, highly approachable manner describing my loved one. I, for one, am so excited for the I Am Project's implications in healthcare.
